It was the 80s. I was young. I needed the money. It was a time of excess. Souls were sold for power chords. Epic analogue synth sounds fought against a digital revolution. A sample was made of bytes and wasn’t something the police asked for.

Five young dudes got together, and in warehouses, outhouses and garages, This Temple Eden took shape. This EP is a collection of four songs performed by the aforementioned men. Lovingly, if not accurately, reproduced for your listening pleasure.

I apologise to Nigel, Phil, Gary and Ian, the original musicians, for my rendering of what they originally played. I thought about changing the songs, re-inventing them for today, but in the end, I tried to recreate them as close to how they originally sounded when we performed them. Nostalgia is the new black.

I can’t remember the exact details, but everyone played at least some part in writing the music for Tell My Lover, This Temple Eden and Tonight. Your My Dream was from my songbook - a little black book that instead of keeping phone numbers, kept my guitar company.
